Running an orange light
My Mom ran an orange light in Pune and was pulled over by a policeman. She readily agreed that she had jumped the orange light as she could not stop in time for it and agreed to pay the government regualted fine. The police officer started grumbling that he did not have the reciepts and it would take a long time to bring them etc. Another person was also caught along with her. He readily paid the bribe and got off. My mother resisted and said she would wait. After waiting patiently for 15-20 minutes, the policeman came over and gave her a reciept for the fine she paid.
