Traffic cop at Bremen Square
While taking a right turn on Bremen Circle, to go towards Wakad, I missed the signal because of a slow moving truck obstructing my view. The cop caught me promptly, and asked me for the relevant papers as usual. After finding no fault in the papers, he asked me to pay Rs. 200 as fine for signal violation and obstructing traffic, for which I would have to go to the Chatishrungi chowki 3-4 kms in the reverse direction. Then slowly, he asked me to pay him Rs. 100, of course without any receipt, so that I don't have to go all the way back to the chowki. I refused to do that, and chose to go to the chowki and pay the amount, with proper receipts. My small contribution against bribes !!
