Traffic Police in Nagpur
Traffic police in Nagpur is the most corrupt in the country. The ratio of traffic policemen to drivers is one for every ten. It seems that anyone gets into the profession. Once during a "regular check up" they caught me because I was without a driving license. Had to pay Rs 200 to get away. After I reached office my colleagues laughed at me. They said that these people are worse than street beggars and I should have paid Rs 20 only. I am amazed that we rely on these people for our safety.
