Hello,
I wish to bring to the notice of concerned senior officials that the Village and Administrative officer named Mr. G. Manohar (Cell No. 9600041567), whom I know was handling both Manapakkam and Mangadu village offices of Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kanchipuram District (near Chennai ) in the year 2011-2013 demands bribes of about Rs. 1000 for issuing verification reports to obtain caste, legal heir, nativity, domicile certificates etc. from the Tahasildar's office. This officer had appointed agents around his offices to deal with person seeking verification reports as he never directly sought bribes from the general public. The Revenue Inspector named Mr. Mani (appointed in that area on 20th August 2013) is also equally corrupt and seeks monetary favours indirectly. The clerks, section officers and assistants in the Tahslidar's office at Sriperumbudur also demand bribes ranging from Rs. 50-100-500 (depends on the class of employee seeking bribe) for moving files around the tables and also for getting the certificates issued. It is an open secret in this place and many people are forced to pay heavy amounts in bribes for getting various certificates from these offices in Sriperumbudur Taluk.
Hope the concerned officers/agencies would make a note of this and take suitable action against erring officials.
