When I refused to respond to hints, I was let go without a fine
On May 19th I was driving from Chembur towards Sion Circle in Bombay[1]. Just before the circle, there is a right turn that leads towards Sion Station.[2] The two right-most lanes of the highway are meant exclusively for this right turn and anyone wishing to go straight has to use one of the remaining lanes. Obviously, this being India there are no visible signs indicating this, and I was in the second lane waiting for the signal to change so I could proceed straight down the road. As soon as I reach the signal, I am stopped by a couple of traffic policemen who ask me to park by the side of the road. "**********!" I tell myself...
