6% of the Property value is considered as Registration charges. For a property value of INR 50 Lakhs, the registration charges would be INR 3 Lakhs. What is Registration charge for a property. Why instead of a very nominal flat amount, such a HUGE RATE is charged to the public, even though when we have a separate entity called Property Tax and Legal Charges which also we have to pay while we purchase a Property? Can kindly clarify me the concepts here?
