Applied for my daughter's new Passport in April second week. Within 15 days it started displaying the status as POLICE REPORT HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED. Waited for one month for the police to visit or call us for verification. On receiving no call, visited the nearest Police Station to enquire about it. We are called back another day in the evening with the fee receipt, two referene letters and all documents in original and photocopy. Filled up another form given by them and submitted the reference letters along with documents. Waited for three and half hours to complete the procedure to return home at 10 pm. Concerned Police Officer assured that the verification was done and report would be sent to Passport Office. Even after 10 days now, the status of application is same as POLICE REPORT HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED. What should I do? Only one option is left to me and I do not want to adopt that.
