A compound wall licence of May 2010 for period of 3 years. This party got it renewed after 11 ,omths from the date of expiry. After the licence was renewed, they began excavation to construct the wall. I stopped the excavation as it was right infront of my gate. I complained to the panchayat and they issued Stop Work Notice. A month before the expiry of renewed licence, this party has made an application to The Panchayat to renew the licence but it was not rebnewed. They made an application to The Block Development Officer, complaining that the Panchayat has not renewed theur licence and requested the Block Devep[pment Officer to issue Ordes to the Panchayat Secretary to renew the licence
.The Goa Building rules atate thus " The licence is valid for a period of 3 years. Renewal if any, should be done expiry date".
I want to ask the following questions under RTI
1. Can an expired consruction licence be renewd after expiry?
2. Please furnish me with copies of relevant rulesby-rules/acts/notifications/or any other provisons . whereby the Panchayat or Block Development Officer or Director of Panchays, can renew an expired conctructuon licence.
