After my husband's untimely death ,I hired a lawyer for procuring a Succession certificate in order to claim his Retirement fund from SBI bank. The lawyer took the original papers and full payment upfront and assured me that I would get the certificate in 3 months. But it has been 9 months since then and he avoids my calls. Every time I ask him about the status of the proceedings, he asks me to wait some more and dosent give me any details of what is going on. I'm afraid he might be cheating me. I have two children to support. How should I proceed? Kindly advice.
