Bribed Traffic Officials for No Parking
The parking and no parking zones in pune are not clearly marked in many places in pune. and due to inadequate parking we tend to park in areas which do not have any signs. recently I parked in a place and the police guys came and picked up my vehicle. They demanded XX amount for the office statin that it was a no parking area where as there was no board stating the same.
The guys who accompany these policement to pick vehicles are goons and they misbehave with people. They took me to a side and told me that pay 500 and take your vehicle. I finally ended up paying 300/- rather than the 1000/- as demanded.
I will end up paying bribes everytime, because if I am guilty or not guilty these goverment and semi government organisations will force me it giving. without it I would be helpless because I willbe the only one figthing against it. and we dont see any results of these fights.
I would request all goverment and state government offices to clearly display the processes and procedures for any request in the states local laguage, hindi and english
This will help reduce corruption and bribe to some extent, because I end up bribing to get information on how to proceed with things which these officer take advantage of
