You will have to file a court case. Unfortunately, it may take time for you to undertake the suit. Going to the police at this stage might not help. In some cases, people go to the police, bribe them and then get them to threaten the tenants. But to my mind, that&rsquo;s inadvisable, because then you encourage corruption. Your tenant might also then bribe the police to stay away There is not end to this process then Court procedures are slow in India, but there is no other legal recourse available.</p>

Dear Mr.Raghu, I rented my double bedroom independent house at Bangalore,We had 11 months agreement, After three years, We deceided to occupy our own house, So we requested tenant to vacate the house as the yearly renewal agreement is going to expire shortly, Now even after four months of agreement expiry, the tenant is not willing to vacate the house, Please guide me if i opt for legal proceeding, how many months/year it takes for us to obtain eviction order from court.Can i approach nearby police station Please help me Thanks Narahari nhari_x9@yahoo.com
