Dear Sir

I have bought a flat in a housing complex of several flats without a loan. The OC for the complex has also been issued. I have the original sale deed. The deed was registered at Gandhinagar on 25 Jun 14.

I bought the flat through the builder. The flat was in the landowners' name. The Builder has signed through a Power of atttorney

Now my question is - whether I will need to have an encumberence certificate. I was told it will not be necessary since registration is quite old. If yes, where do I get this from ?
