It is not required to carry the original RC book and insurance papers when you travel in other States. Photocopies will do. However, you must carry the original licence. if all the papers are in order, including pollution free certificate, the police cannot touch you.</p>

Dear Sir, I have car with Karnataka registration. I wish to know is it required to carry original licence and origianl car RC book, insurance & other paper, while going for tour to other state. If cought by traffic police in other state with photo copy of all original papers, what charges they can impose on driver/owner. What would be the limit of fine they can impose on driver/owner?
