Dear Sir/Madam,
I am the owner of a flat in an apartment in south bangalore. The flat was registered in Dec, 2011.
The whole apartment consists of 5 Blocks, out of which 3 Blocks (including the one in which I stay) has received a OC from the BDA.
My question is :
1. As I understand, property tax needs to be paid from the date of registration. Hence, I will have to pay penalty on property tax till date.
2. A tax officer from BBMP visited our complex and mentioned that the ARO can issue a "Special Letter" which can waive of the penalty and also help in getting the Khata transfer completed for all the flat owners, provided a sum of Rs. 12500 be paid by cash per flat.
My questions here : Is there a provision in BBMP where the property tax can be waived off.
Also, for achieving the khata extract of my flat, I need to know the exact process "Without having to pay any Bribe"
