Electricity department Of Sigra Branch Varanasi charged Rs 1700 for burnt meter
My parents were told by SDO and Jr Engineer of Electrical department, Varanasi that for their burnt meter they will have to pay Rs 1700. They had to forcibly pay the money and received no receipt. They said its fees. My question is whats the fee for. We are paying for Electricity setup and regular charges. Why should we pay if the meters installed by them burns up. This is absolute non-sense. They are also complaining that they have to pay very high electricity charges. This is a new way of extracting money from people. The electricity guy will come and make your meter faster than normal and you pay for making it normal. What the **********is happening in India.
