I am very happy that you have been able to resist corruption. No, the government pays traffic policemen a comparatively much better salary than, say, a private security guard. They beg because we are willing to pay bribes. Moreover, it is said that there are quotas for collection, which go all the way up. The only way to stop this is for more people to do what you have done, which is to stand your ground and fight back/

Good Evening Sir, I was going to cross signal in bike which was Green while i was reaching near the signal it was Orange.So i slowed down my bike,then suddenly it changed to red i have stopped my bike. But i was within that line. The traffic police man came and told me to park my bike side and take all documents. i have shown him all documents Rc Book,Insurance,Driving Licence. then also he didnt allowed me to go. he told me that i have crossed the line in signal, i told i have not crossed and he argued for that. But i was not allowed to go. he was excepting money from me....But i have not given even a penny.Then at last after half hour he let me to go. why the traffic guys do like this..? They are beggaing.....the governement is paying the Salary to them or Not...?
