Hello experts,

I need some help to understand the Khata process for an apartment in Gram Panchayat area (Chandapur-Anekal road), which has DC conversion and BMRDA approval.

The builder says that I will get an A Khata from Gram panchayat. My questions are as follows:

- For apartments in areas NOT under BBMP jurisdiction, can the Gram panchayath issue A Khata? Is there any other document that I need to ask for, from the builder, specifically because this comes under Gram Panchayath?

- Another builder of a BDA approved apartment is telling me that I will get BDA A Khata!! My understanding is Khatas are given only by tax collecting authorities, which should be either BBMP, or Gram Panchayath. As BDA does not collect any taxes, it cannot issue a Khata. Am I right?
