Hello,
My father is a Retired State Govt. Servant, worked in Soil Conservation Office, Agriculture department.
Upon his retirement,a pension saving account was opened in one of the Jamshedpur SBI Branch, where he needs to submit his life certificate every year in person, which makes him eligible to collect his pension from the respective branch.
My father has moved with me to a different distant city and his health is deteriorating continuously. It just doesn't seem to be possible for him to travel in person every year to Jamshedpur Branch to submit his life certificate.
Talking to the Branch Manager regarding transferring his pension a/c from that branch to the another SBI Branch of different city, came with a straight forward conclusion that It is not possible or will take forever.
I need to know, what's the process to transfer a pension A/c to a different branch of the same bank in a different city? I also need to know, who to contact regarding the issue, as submitting several applications is also not helping me to the branch.
A quick and prompt response is highly appreciated in this regard.
