I;m having a small query about IDP. I'm planing to take a new licence for 4 wheeler from Chennai but when i enquired about IDP, driving licence people are saying that passport address and driving licence address should be same then only i will get my IDL. Actually my passport having address as Andhra address (my college address ), if i apply my driving licence in chennai, my licence address will be chennai present address. Could you please confirm, for IDP passport address and licence address should be same or it can be different. Also i would like to know, whether these rules will vary from state to state? if yes, if i apply in Andhra near by my home town RTO office, shall i get my IDP without any trouble?
