First of all, congratulations for having stood up against the officer and not having paid a paid. It is a classic technique on behalf of the officers to delay the procedure in order to procure some money out of the citizens. You could go to his superior with an application mentioning your details as well as asking for the status of your application. Also, mention that his subordinate had asked for bribe suring police verification process.



There have been times when the passport has taken time but eventually the citizen has received it after a long waiting period. I would advice you to have patience and the application will come through.
