Hi, I have purchased one flat in an under-construction apartment with a builder at Amruthahalli, Byataranpura. Now, near the end of completion, when the apartment is ready for registration the builder is asking per flat an amount of Rs. 40,000 on top of the stipulated stamp duty. As per the builder, this is the amount that he must pay to various officials at BBMP, BESCOM, BWSSB etc. in order to get things done. I believe it is the responsibility of builder to get the registration done and the only amount due should be the stamp duty.
How is everyone else's experience during registration of their flats? How easy or difficult is to get the registration done without paying any bribe?
