Hi,
I wanted to carry my bike to Calicut from Chennai by train. I went to railway parcel booking twice for inquiring for the price and procedure. But both times agents stopped me at the counter and they were not leaving me to ask any questions to the guy in counter, even he was not in a mood to answer me. As per agents i should pay 1200rs as booking charges to railway and another 900rs for packing, handling and bribes to the porters there. They say this bribe will go to police who is standing at entry gate to the person at counter. Just would like to know what would be the actual charges for transporting bike through train. And i am travelling in the same train.
