Keep all your papers is order, such as Ration card, election card pan card other&nbsp; proof of residence. Be very polite to the police, if they demand a bribe, refuse very politely. Keep your mobile on and record their conversation. Tell them that you have seen the website of the passport office and that you will track the application. Also, in case the police demand a bribe, please immediately put a complaint to the higher level officials as well as to the passport office about your experience. The way to deal with corruption is to keep your papers in order, so that nobody can find any fault with them, be confident and make it very clear that you will complain. Tell the police that you will wait for the passport. Under the rules now, they cannot delay the passport verification indefinitely.</p>
