How to get a new connection

You need to apply to the local BESCOM office with a filled application form in duplicate. The fee for the application is Rs. 25/-. Along with the application, attested true copies or Photostat copies of the following documents as applicable should be enclosed along with the application.<br />
<br />
a. Proof of ownership of the policies or proof of occupancy.<br />
b. General License from the local authority, if such License is provided for.<br />
c. In case of a partnership firm, partnership deal.<br />
d. In case of a Limited Company, Memorandum and Articles of Association and Certificate of Incorporation.<br />
e. Indemnity bond if the applicant is not the owner of the premises.<br />
f. Proof of permanent residential address of the applicant and PAN number, if any.<br />

2. The application should also contain:<br />
a. Full Address<br />
b. Location Sketch<br />
c. Contact Telephone Number, if any and<br />
d. The name of the Nominee.<br />
e. The name and address of the Licensed Electrical Contractor (LEC) with whom you intend to get the interior wiring work done</p>

Where supply of electricity does not require any extension of distribution mains or commissioning of new substations, the new connection is provided within 1 month of the receipt of the application.<br />
<br />
In the cases of applications where power supply requires extension of distribution mains, power connection is provided within 45 days.</div>
