The motivation of checking corruption has to come from within ourselves. It is that motivation that has driven some of us to start this website. We can advise you, but essentially, the choice not to pay a bribe is yours. You might think that you are doing a smart thing. but then you always suffer in the long run. India has the highest accident rate in the world now. So one day, as a society, we will realise that this kind of behaviour of paying bribes to get licences, harms all of us. And then the procedure will become strict. Before that happens, a lot of innocent people will get hurt or die. It might be you or me. Thats why we must oppose corruption. Do not bother what others are doing. Like the shoe ad says, Just do it!<br>As regards corruption for licences, there are also many instances where this does not happen. Please see the entries in the I didnt pay a bribe section. But in each such case, the individual has taken the first step.&nbsp; <br>

I am DEBPRASAD DATTA, from Kolkata, I was very intrigued to see your web-site. In my city, anyone can get a driving license even without touching the wheel at the driving test at the Motor Vehicles Dept. We just have to pay Rs.2000/- to the various touts and everything is in order. And no one can do any official work at the Motor Vehicles Dept by oneself, only a tout or agent(who has a tie up with the officers and bribes them) can do the work, at a premium. So Raghu tell me, how do you suggest we solve this kind of corruption, where lives of millions are at stake when a person unknown to driving gets a license for a mere Rs.2000?
