I am a radiologist. I have been shifted to Rajasthan from Haryana since last 2 yrs. I am facing a very difficult environment for radiologists to work here. Not only this, there is unnecessary harassment of general public.
The culprit is improper implementation of PCPNDT act. I have following points which are not lawful and causing unnecessary harassment of Doctors as well as general public:-
1. If this is a law of indian constitution, why the power to change the rule has been given to local authority? This has make the rules different in each district, forget the state.
2. Why even a small clerical mistake in filling form "F" or even not wearing apron with nametag has been considered as equal to detecting sex of the fetus in terms of punishment?
3. Why local authority is asking for address proof of even female child/ post menopausal female before undergoing ultrasound while the donot fall into ambit of the ACT.
