I bought a jointly owned (father-son) house in Bikasipura Layout,…

Reported on November 16, 2013 from Bangalore , Karnataka  ι Report #37292

I bought a jointly owned (father-son) house in Bikasipura Layout, Kanakpura Road. History:The property belonged to a lady - a housewife sole owner. She expired in 1998. Post her death in 2010 her husband and all her 3 adult married children (2 girls 1 son) got together and got a partition deed done - registered in the Banshankari registrar office. Per the partition deed father and son got this property registered in their name and the daughters got other properties registered in their names. So the property under question was registered only in the father and son's name. The father took up a mortgage loan on the house - could not pay EMI and then decided to sell the property. Both father and son got together and sold the property to me. I did not trust the father and so first registered the sale deed by paying 80% to both father and son and then cleared the loan. So in the EC first it shows sale deed transaction from father and son to me then once the loan was cleared, the EC shows the transaction between bank and the Father. So the last name is of the Father. Khata, tax paid receipt is in my name.Any deed to show who is the actual owner to avoid any double sale by the sellers?
