I would suggest that you complain to senior officials about this. It was the sub inspector on duty who probably asked you for the bribe. First report him to the Police Inspector of that station. If your problem does not get solved, please take an appointment with the Joint Commissioner, meet him and explain the situation. Make sure you have spoken to the Police Station Inspector first, as thats the first question the JC of Police will ask you.
