I had been asked 1000000 lks
I am running a small mfg company , because of serious financial problems I was not able to pay indirect taxs for a year , recently an excise officer came to our factory and asking 10 lks to avoid penalty , if i dint paid i will be forced to pay 2 cr as penalty. i don't know what to do....
I thought I will take some advice from any one of you, I am not a drunker or a smoker , I dint paid the duty only because of bank interest has gone up , I had given priority for my employees salary .
Kindly advice me , I have to pay about 30 lks as excise duty , but I made sure that every time I had submitted the returns online . Can I know from anyone what would be the fine + penalty because of this non payment. The officer is telling me they can arrest me .....Kindly suggest
