I have bought a flat (resale) in Bangalore - Begur area. The deal is finalized and I will be registering the flat next week. The sales person who facilitated this sale is pushing me to get Rs. 20,000 extra whcih he claims will need to be given to the sub-registrar as a bribe. I am totally against this and would like to register the property by paying the money for whcih i get a receipt. Can you please let me know

1. If i need to register the property at the jurisdiction under which this property falls (Begur Road)?
2. Can I register the property at any of the sub-registrar office?
3. How can I ensure that i dont pay a bribe and still get the work done from the officials?
