Reported on March 29, 2011 from Bangalore , Karnataka  ι Report #33788

The website of the central excise and customs is quite informative. http://www.cbec.gov.in/cae1-english.htm They have provided a list of all the chapters, the specific goods that come under the chapters and the duty on the respective goods. If you want any more information, you can ask the Departmental Public Information Officer, whose details are also available on the website to provide information under the RTI Act. A fee of Rs. 10 is to be paid for every RTI application. In addition, you might have to pay additional charges for photocopying, if required.
