I'm a French citizen ,got arrested on arrival in the airport,for fake residential permit made by Goan agent.

Me and my girlfriend both got arrested ,but the agent that made those fake dokuments to hundreds of foreigners in Goa ,got arrested as well.No charges against us,but also no exit permit is given.I was advised by a friend that the Police is waiting for a bribe to give us that permit,that they keep on purpose.All case happend 2 years ago,and since than,we can't go out of India,kept on bail ,and without working permit,very difficult to support myself.

You may approach the Foreigners Registration Officer(FRO) (Superintendent of Police of the district) and apply for residence permit. For this purpose, you should submit certificate of registration and PAN card along with application to FRO. You must have obtained certificate of Registration from concerned FRO within 14 days of his arrival in India. Residence permit will enable you to work legally in India.
