My mother in law's will gave all her property to her daughter(my wife).this will was not registered.she passed away 2008.i have two brother in laws who have given a release certificate agreeing for the above will,which was not registered.now i understand that as per the tamilnad govt. requirement there is a need to get a registered release certificate in the legal stamp paper for a cost calculated based on the value of the property in the will along with additional amount for bribe.pl.let me know 1.whether the unregistered will can be used for selling any of the property listed?,2.in case of the need of release certificate whether the unregistered certificate can be used?,3.how can i decide the stamp paper cost correctly?,how can i avoid paying any additional amount as bribe?
