My son was born in Indore 2 yrs ago to parents of an inter-religion marriage (Mother Sikh, Father Hindu). An year ago my husband and I separated and now my son and I reside with my family in Punjab. I would like to bring up my son as a Sikh (Mother's religion) and accordingly name change too. We got an affidavit made for the name change recently. However it is important to make these changes in the birth certificate as many schools here insist on name as in birth certificate. How to correct/change the name and religion in a birth certificate in Indore for child of separated parents.
