Need help to get marriage Regsitered
I have tried all my luck to get marriage registered in Bangalore but looks the cost of Registration and the cost of Marriage has to be the same. Have run from pillar to post in Sub-Registrar Offices of Begur, Bomnahalli and Jayanagar-if you are non-kannada be ready to allow Kannada Govt Officials and Clerks to loot you in Govt premises. The govt system to have either Passport/Ration Card/Voter Id card with local address only can be registered, forces you to have duplicate or fake Passport/Voter Id to be done in all the cities if you really want to have your local address proof. Else they will ask to run to Tahsil office and get the Residential Certificate done on any of the local address proof documents. I wonder how does this works, the same documents which one dept says is invalid the other one gives certificate on. I am still fighting to get the Residential certificate done as the person in Tahsildars office asked for 2500 Rs- which i do not want to pay. If i ask him to either speak Hindi/English the more he replies in Kannada, eroding all transpency and then you are asked to leave and come tomorrow. I am afraid if i dont pay bribe things does not works at all in bangalore. Go to Koramangla BDA complex and all touts will get your marriage registration done in 15 mins if you have Docs for 2000 and for 5000 if you have incomplete documents. What shall i do, do not want to pay bribe.
