One of my relatives, lady 40 years is seeking divorce from her husband due to harassment and domestic violence. she has left her husbands home 3 yrs back. she has a son 13 yrs who is under her custody. They are staying with her parents. Divorce case is just not moving . Court has ordered that huband can visit child twice a month but during these visits, child does not talk or see his fathers face. It is a nght mare for family. Last month he threatened the lady that he will kill her/ take out her dress and parade her naked. FIR filed but nothing further happening. Divorce case also not moving. Husband is influential and does not want to give divorce. He is harassing their famiy and says he will finish them off. Father had heart surgery (72 yrs) and mother /daughter are in serious tension.
Can u pl guide what we can do? It is not a case of bribery but because he is influential, Police are also not taking quick action.
