Hello
I am having a register marriage in Bangalore. I am resident in UK and my fiance is in Bangalore.For applying for Visa we wanted the marriage certificate soon.On enquiring at the registration office my fiance's father has been adviced to pay 4000 rs to get things done "soon". What is the correct procedure and within how many days are the registration office legally entitled to provide us the certificate? I am having a register marriage before my ceremonial wedding. Does this mean I am breaching the law by registering my marriage before a ceremonial wedding? Can I not register my marriage before a ceremonial wedding?
