We are regular importer for PAPER and last time DRI has came to our office for the cross verification and suggested us to declare the STOCK LOT material as STOCK LOT and we followed the same. In our next shipment when we declare as STOCK LOT every officer started to create a problem for the clearness. First the bill was held by SIB and demanded a bribe. After clearing the same the bill went to DC for clearness and she put the query to inspect the whole goods in the container and give the batch no. of each pallet. We requested not to dyestuff the whole container as it is paper and cannot be loaded again in the container but in vein. We requested the same to JOINT COMMISSIONER on the port and at last ended up with paying the bribe. Here my question is where we import the PAPER which has no expiry date than why they demand the bath no. on the pallet. and also demanded the STOCK LOT should have atleast 9-10 bath no. on it.
