Why the Indian police are taking more time to investigate a case against a neta or a high profile man than a poor?

Reported on September 25, 2010 from Bangalore , Karnataka ι Report #34006

The evidence is probably that all cases are delayed! Some of the reasons for delay are genuine; for instance, police investigation methods are archaic, foresnic services are poor and given the pressure on the police for security and traffic control, they hardly have time for conducting decent investigations. Then again, following the investigations, judicial processes take a long time. No wonder that India's record of successful criminal prosecution is a miserable 6 percent. I think that police and judicial corruption will be probably the last to be wiped out in India.
