No bribe for police verificatio
My wife had to get here passport renewed after expiry. Police verification request was sent to Kapurbawdi police station at Ghodbunder Road. Though process of verification was very long and could have been simplified - if proper process was informed in advance, it was *bribe free* No one asked for the bribe and most importantly the station in-charge, himself interviewed all applicants before signing the document - and it involved no bribe or even any gesture of expectation of bribe from anyone. Wish, I could send my feedback to someone on how to improve the process. There was no mention anywhere that the applicant needs to be get residents of the same building there to sign as witness - that had to be organised in a rush.
