Step1: Beat officer left his mobile number when I wasn't at home. I was able to call him and ********** him at the beat chowki for initial verification without hassle. Step 2: At D N Nagar, Andheri police station I carried the documents as recommended by Passport Office website. However the police had a different list of documents without which they would reject the application. I asked for more time, returned a week later with the additional document (birth certificate), and finished smoothly.
