I approached the Mini Secratariat at Gurgaon for cancellation of hypothecation for my car. I was approached by some touts who demanded Rs 3000/- for the job.
I decided to do it myself. I had all the requisite documentation and required an additional affidavit. The notarised Affidavit cost me Rs 50/-. I submitted the papers at the counter where I was asked to pay the Rs 300/- fee. I thereafter received a receipt for the Registration Certificate and was asked to collect the new Registration Certificate in 15 days time.
15 days later I spent half an hour looking for a parking space at Mini Secratariat and thereafter collected my new RC within 10 minutes. Hats off.
