Smooth sailing at the JP Nagar Police station
Went to the JP Nagar Police Station sometime in 2007 for my passport verification exercise. I was literally shaking and quivering after hearing stories from my friends about the harassment they had faced and the very uncomfortable conversation that eventually leads to the bribe. I entered the station and was immediately asked to go over to the top boss' room. He asked me a lot of questions, but eventually just put the seal and his signature and told me I could leave. If only all our experiences with officialdom could be this pleasant!
