Tatkal Passport
I wish to place my appreciation to the Passport Officer - Trichirapalli Passport Office. My passport was damaged badly and the writings on various pages were smudged. I applied for tatkal passport. I met and explained the matter to the passport officer, who listened sympathetically to my narration. He verified my application and candidly told about the documents needed for processing the application under tatkal scheme. I resubmitted the application along with the desired documents and got my passport in less than a week's time. I was treated with all courtesies by this officer as well as his staff. At no point of time during the entire process, did I feel that they were expecting any kind of illegal gratification (bribe). Kudos to them I was able to get a new passport and proceed to report for my duty in time. Thanks to all of them.
