I bought a house in Ponnur (Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh) on 10th Dec 2007 with the loan. I had to approch document writer to get my registration documents prepared, the Registrarar at Ponnur did not allow us directly. He allowed only through thrid party document writer after collecting the 1% of purchase amount as bribe 18000 rupees. Unfortunately the bank I took loan wanted title deed, I had to do it separately again they asked for 1% of the amount to be paid as bribe. There was some argument happened between broker and staff at registrarar, I involved SBH bank manager who had dropped the papers and asked me to leave. With that effect they considered to do it this addtional transaction without bribe. But each transaction we do has to pay bribe. In one other incident for marriage certificate, in the same registrarar office I had to pay bribe again 3000 ruppees.
