Adambakkam Police Station asked me 500 to pass the police verification

I admit this is an old report but would like to share it for the benefit of everyone.

When I applied for the passport, I was dropped a post card by the police station to come to police station for verification (Violation 1: It is the police officer who should come and visit the house)

When I took the card and went to police station, I was asked some money to pass the verification (Violation 2: There are no charges for police verification)
