BESCOM does annual electrical inspection of apartment building. They comeup with list of work to be done in apartment towards electrical safety and expect certificate from Class-I electrical Engineer. Even all work done, still Class-I engineer quoted Rs5000 to get clearence from BESCOM... Bribe paid indirctly, but this need to be paid yearly. Heard all apartments in nearby locality use to pay the bribe to get clearence.
They even want bribe when we went to get deposit receipt for inspection fee of Rs 5700.
Safety angle is one side, but to get clearence is another expect.
