BBMP Expecting pribe...still not paid

Hi,

thanks lot your initiative.

I had gone to BBMP office Banaswadi to pay property tax for my new flat. Last year property tax was paid by builder for the whole building. This year that has to be separated to each flat. (BBMP official are used to call this process as “Assessment”)

Anyway to do this “assessment”, required documents are Sale Deed and last year Property tax receipt only ( I verified with others). But simply BBMP person is asking

1. Sale deed of all Flat owners of the apartment
2. Sanction letters
3. DD for 2% amount of Registered amount
4. Floor plan
5. Few others..I couldn’t remember.

These details had been told after my 4th visit to their office. So I’m sure he is expecting bribe. But I’m NOT interested to pay. Since “assessment” has not yet done, I can’t use online or BangaloreOne to pay my property tax.

Any suggestions?
