I was visiting india and went to Diu. Bought a bottle of Indian Whisky to take back to US for friends.As I dont drink didnot realise I needed permit to pass thru Gujarat. Shopkeeper selling bottle saw us put it in car. Must have called and told police on Gujarat Border because they stopped us and asked for A BOTTLE OF WHISKY. I took it out and he first lectured me on the evils of alcohol in Bapus state and then threatened to lock me up .Finally his chamcha came and suggested Rs two thousand five hundred to get out of the "mess". I had to pay as he had my passport with him. He took the money. Bapu did not come his way when accepting the bribe.They all are corrupt and should be punished.
