It happened with me on 11-12-2014 at T3 when I was travelling to Kathmandu. I was just carrying 7000 INR(1000 X 5 , 500X4) and wasn't aware that carrying 1000 and 500 note's were not allowed before.
They made me pay that amount by intimidating me by saying you will not be able to catch your flight and you will be arrested. I needed that money and had very little choice so I paid them. On reaching Kathmandu and reading about this offence I came to know that such a law is no longer valid and on returning back I registered a complain against them at IGI police station on 15-12-2014.
I called them and I haven't heard anything back from them which is a shame. I know I did wrong by paying them but at that scenario I had a little choice. I can provide that complain as I still have it and if someone wants to contact me please do me on my email as I live in UK so the mobile no provided will no longer be working.
